A Sacred Tradition of Support
“We are to bring to all peoples, indeed to all creatures, the Gospel promise of true and lasting peace, which is possible because, in the words of Pope Francis, ‘the Lord has overcome the world and its constant conflict by making peace through the blood of his cross’.”
Pope Leo XIV to the National Directors of The Pontifical Mission Societies.
From remote villages in Africa to conflict zones in Asia or isolated islands in Oceania, your Mass offering helps sustain the missionary Church. It becomes a lifeline for priests who, in many cases, have no regular income. These dedicated men use your support to carry out their pastoral work, support seminarian formation, and cover their own basic needs like food, shelter, clothing, and transportation.
Many of the priests who celebrate these Masses do so at great personal risk. They often live in places where persecution is real and daily life is marked by uncertainty. To receive a Mass intention from someone across the world is, for them, not only a source of support but a deep spiritual consolation and a sign of the Church’s unity.
You may request individual Masses, Triduum Masses (three consecutive days), or Gregorian Masses (thirty consecutive days for a deceased soul). The celebration of these Masses may be shared among several priests, depending on pastoral circumstances.
Mass Offerings are forwarded by The Pontifical Mission Societies USA to priests in mission countries. We cannot arrange for Mass on a specific date or time however, Masses are celebrated as soon as possible after the offerings are received.

“The faithful in the Diocese of Rajshahi, Bangladesh, are very poor and unable to provide enough Mass intentions to support our 70 priests. That’s why we rely on the generosity of organizations like The Pontifical Mission Societies USA—and on those who request Masses through them in honor of their loved ones. Please know that I, along with the Catholics of my diocese are praying for you.”
— Bishop Gervas Rozario, Diocese of Rajshahi, Bangladesh
