As the new Diocesan Director of The Pontifical Mission Societies (TPMS) in the Diocese of Dallas, I am excited to lead efforts in strengthening our mission outreach. Our first initiative includes forming a diverse advisory committee and organizing key events such as a day of reflection for priests to kick off World Mission Month 2024.
Today marks the anniversary of the Pontifical Missionary Union (PMU), one of the four Pontifical Mission Societies. The PMU was founded by Blessed Father Paolo Manna in 1916 with the vision of strengthening the Church’s missionary spirit.
