The Pontifical Mission Societies USA celebrates the generosity of U.S. Catholics in its 2024 Gratitude Report, highlighting the impact of prayer and support across 1,124 mission territories.

The Pontifical Mission Societies USA is pleased to share our newly published Gratitude Report, a celebration of the generosity, prayer, and missionary spirit of Catholics across the United States.
This year’s report is rooted in the theme chosen for World Mission Sunday 2025 — “Missionaries of Hope Among All Peoples” — and highlights the incredible impact of your support in 1,124 mission territories across Asia, Africa, Oceania, Latin America, and Eastern Europe. In 2024 alone:
- U.S. Catholics contributed more than $20 million to support the Pope’s missions
- TPMS globally distributed over $106 million to dioceses, seminaries, orphanages, schools, and pastoral programs
- Your gifts helped form 82,498 seminarians, supported missionary childhood programs for tens of thousands of children, and sustained local Churches through essential ordinary subsidies that keep the Church running in mission territories
But this report isn’t just about numbers — it’s about people. Inside, you’ll find powerful stories from the missions:
- Children in Zimbabwe learning to live their faith through the Missionary Childhood Association
- Priests and catechists in Bangladesh who are bringing the Gospel to villages where the Church is just beginning
- A tribute to 13 missionaries who gave their lives in 2024, witnessing to the Gospel in the world’s most vulnerable regions
You’ll also hear from Pope Leo XIV, the first missionary and first American pope in modern history, and from bishops and missionaries whose lives are touched by your generosity.
