Mite Boxes are small collection boxes that children and families can use to
gather their sacrifices for the missions. The idea comes from the Gospel story
of the widow’s mite: even the smallest gift, when given with love, can make a
big difference.
By filling Mite Boxes with spare change, small donations, or personal
sacrifices, children learn to pray, give, and grow in solidarity with children
in the missions. The funds collected go directly to support the Missionary
Childhood Association (MCA), helping provide food, education, medical care,
safe shelter, and faith formation for children in some of the poorest mission
areas around the world.
